Abstract

This paper explores the investment behavior of corporate professionals towards mutual funds in
India. The study investigates the factors that influence investment behavior, particularly with regard to mutual
funds, and aims to provide mutual fund managers with insights to help tailor their schemes to investors’
commonalities. The authors review existing literature on investment behavior towards mutual funds and
discuss the methodology used to analyze data from a sample of 400 corporate professionals in India. The
results suggest that factors such as fund growth and security, convenience of investment, monetary
considerations, reliability of the company, scheme features and market circumstances, company performance,
and industry expansion all have an impact on investment behavior. The authors conclude that mutual funds
are emerging as a popular choice for various investors, especially corporate professionals with a fixed salary
looking to diversify their investment portfolio, and that mutual funds can be a safe and effective option for
investment in the long term.
