Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the mental health of individuals worldwide, especially
among students in higher education. This study aimed to assess the psychological impact of COVID-19 on 50
students from University College of Farasan in Saudi Arabia. Using quantitative survey design and purposive
sampling, the study found that although the students had adequate knowledge of COVID-19, they experienced
mild anxiety and depression and moderate stress levels. Therefore, students may require more support and
coping mechanisms to enhance their mental health during the pandemic. The study's implications call for
psychological interventions and measures to address students' mental health and well-being during the
pandemic.
