Abstract

Hemodialysis patients often experience pain during arteriovenous fistula cannulation, a routine
procedure in dialysis units. This study aimed to compare the efficacy of eutectic mixture of local anesthetics
and Lidocaine spray in reducing pain during AVF cannulation. The study found that the eutectic mixture was
more effective than Lidocaine spray in reducing pain. These results suggest that the eutectic mixture can be
used to improve the dialysis experience and overall life quality of hemodialysis patients.
