This article discusses the nursing management of acute myocardial infarction (MI) through a case
study. The article highlights the importance of evidence-based nursing practice (EBNP) in achieving
highquality nursing care and management. The framework for comprehensive care and management includes
nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and assessment process. The findings emphasize the
importance of nurses' willingness to modify nursing practice when new evidence emerges, and the need for a
holistic approach to care, which involves extensive monitoring and regular analysis of data to obtain
situational awareness of the patient’s evolution and risk for complications. The article also emphasizes the
important role of nurses in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of acute coronary syndromes.
