This study examined the effect of climate change on sustainable development in Nigeria. The specific objectives are to, examine the effect of agriculture on sustainable development in Nigeria and evaluate the effect of water resources on sustainable development in Nigeria. The study adopts a survey research design. A structured questionnaire design with a five-point Likert scale was used to collect data for the study. The data was analyzed using structural equation modeling. The result revealed that at a 5% level of significance, agriculture has a statistically significant effect on sustainable development in Nigeria given that [β1 = 0.276] and [p-value = 0.011] and at a 5% level of significance water resources have a statistically significant effect on sustainable development in Nigeria given that [β2 = 0.614] and [p-value = 0.000]. We concluded that climate change has a significant positive effect on sustainable development in Nigeria. We recommended the adoption of climate-smart agricultural techniques among farmers. This includes promoting drought-resistant crop varieties, implementing conservation agriculture practices, and integrating agroforestry systems.
