Abstract

The application for the "Hainan Tropical Rainforest and Li Ethnic Group Traditional Settlements" World Heritage project has been officially submitted to the UNESCO World Heritage Center. These traditional settlements of the Li ethnic group are a valuable representation of early Li society and tropical island tribal settlements. Recognizing their cultural and historical significance is crucial for the declaration of the world's "double heritage" and the preservation of Li ethnic group culture.
