SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM RESOURCES IN TUYEN QUANG AND BINH PHUOC PROVINCES, VIETNAM: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS

This paper analyzes and assesses the tourism development resources of Tuyen Quang and Binh
Phuoc provinces in Vietnam. It compares the advantages of tourism development resources in the two
provinces, which are located near major cities, and identifies opportunities for the development of ecotourism
and cultural tourism. The paper analyzes the impact of tourism activities on the socio-economic environment
and discusses the lack of proper scientific planning and investment in tourism in the two provinces. The paper
proposes solutions for sustainable tourism development, including enhancing mechanisms, policies,
management, development planning, investment cooperation, and diversification to improve product quality,
protect and restore environmental resources, and promote sustainable tourism development. The paper
addresses the importance of conserving and promoting the unique value of natural resources in humanistic
tourism resources. The authors also provide recommendations to tourism management agencies, local
authorities, tourists, and local people who are involved in tourism activities in the two provinces. Overall, the
paper aims to promote sustainable tourism development in Vietnam.
