Abstract

The proliferation of social media has transformed the way students engage with technology and communication. This study examines the multifaceted role of social media in the lives of university students, encompassing both its positive and negative impacts. As students increasingly embrace platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, the boundaries between social interaction, information consumption, and learning are blurred. This research investigates the various ways in which social media is utilized by students and its influence on their academic and personal lives. It explores the potential benefits, such as information sharing and collaborative learning, as well as the darker side of social media, involving issues like addiction, cyberbullying, and criminal activities. The findings provide valuable insights into the complex relationship between students and social media, shedding light on its multifaceted role in the modern educational landscape.
