: This study examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the collaborative networks within a public university in central Mexico. Using a cross-sectional, psychometric, and confirmatory approach, the study aimed to explore the factorial structure of collaborative networks and the relationship between collaboration and organizational climate. The results support the hypothesis that organizational climate and collaboration are significantly related, indicating the importance of a supportive climate for collaboration to thrive. The study also found that the pandemic has negatively impacted collaboration within the university, with anti-COVID policies and distance learning being major contributors. To promote collaboration in virtual environments, the study recommends establishing trust and support mechanisms. The findings highlight the need for educational institutions to enhance collaboration during and after the pandemic. Future research should explore the role of trust in determining knowledge networks and organizational collaboration in virtual environments. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the impact of the pandemic on collaborative networks in university settings and offers practical implications for enhancing collaboration in the future
